The 27th Annual Vancouver International Film Festival (September 25 - October 10) is considered the second largest film festival in North America (based on number of films screened and attendance). This year it will feature over 350 films from over 50 countries from around the world. A workshop for women who are underway on a life-writing project—a story or essay about yourself or people you know.

The workshop is for all women writers, from those embarking on their life-writing adventure to those who need a tune-up in the company of women and words. Mary Schendlinger, Senior Editor of Geist Magazine will navigate us through discussions around form and the work of writing while participants will take time to - find their voice, inspire and be inspired and refine their craft.

Elements of this package include:

• “The Art of Writing Your Life: A Workshop for Women” on October 18 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm;
• A single occupancy room (Gallery) for one night, Saturday October 18;
